Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FutCheck ("FutCheck", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website at futcheck.com and the FutCheck FC browser extension (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

FutCheck is an independent companion app for EA SPORTS FC Ultimate Team and is not affiliated with Electronic Arts Inc. See our About page for details.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. If you sign in, we receive your email address and basic profile details from your chosen sign-in provider (for example, Google). We use this to create and secure your account.
• Usage & analytics data. We collect information about how the Service is used — pages viewed, features used and whether they worked, approximate region, device and browser type — to understand and improve the product. When you are signed in it is linked to your account; otherwise it is tied only to a random identifier.
• Cookies & similar technologies. We and our partners use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, and (where applicable) serve advertising. See the Cookies section below.
• Payment information. If you purchase a membership, payments are processed by our payment provider (PayPal). We do not receive or store your full card details.
• Communications. If you email us, we keep your messages so we can respond and support you.

We use the following types of cookies and similar technologies:

• Essential cookies. Required for the site to work — for example, secure, http-only cookies that keep you signed in. These cannot be switched off.
• Analytics cookies. Help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. These are only set with your consent where required.
• Advertising cookies. We may display advertising, including through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick / DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to FutCheck and other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info and www.youronlinechoices.eu.

Where required (for example, in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change your choices at any time. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies through their settings, though the Service may not function properly without essential cookies.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service, and only as needed:

• Google — sign-in, analytics, and advertising (AdSense).
• Product analytics provider (PostHog) — to measure and improve usage of the website and the browser extension.
• Payment provider (PayPal) — to process membership payments.
• Hosting & infrastructure providers — to run and deliver the Service.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.

FutCheck FC is our browser extension for the EA SPORTS FC Ultimate Team Web App. It runs only on the web app (www.ea.com), and it uses your FutCheck sign-in: it reads the futcheck.com session cookies and sends them only to the FutCheck API.

Club sync and price checks are off until you turn them on for an EA account, from the extension or from the EA web app itself. While they are on, the extension sends us:

• your club, transfer list and storage items: card ids, ratings, and which pile they are in
• your active squad
• your Evolutions: which ones you have, how far each has got and the runs left; a Reward evolution we haven't seen before is added, without your name, to FutCheck's list of evolutions
• your coin and FC Points balances
• changes as they happen: moves, discards, pack openings, listings and sales
• your EA persona name, club name, platform and game version, to link the account to your FutCheck profile
• the lowest buy-now prices the extension sees on the transfer market

While the web app is open, price checks search the transfer market every few minutes from your account, and pause whenever you are using the market yourself. They only search: they never bid, buy, list or sell. We use what they find to show your club's value and trading profit on FutCheck, and to keep FutCheck's prices current for everyone.

The extension never sends your EA login, password or EA session tokens, your messages or friends, EA's own analytics, or anything from sites other than the EA FC web app. On your device it keeps its settings, a copy of your club and player data, and changes waiting to be sent.

Usage statistics. Separately from club sync, the extension reports which of its features are used and whether they worked — for example, that an SBC solve started and how long it took, or that a club sync failed. These reports contain feature names, outcomes, timings and counts, the extension version, your FutCheck plan, and a random identifier created for your installation. If you are signed in to futcheck.com, they are linked to your FutCheck account. They never include your EA account name, club name or EA identifiers, your coins or cards, the players you search for, or anything you type. They go to the FutCheck API, which passes them to our product analytics provider. Usage statistics are on by default; turning them off in the extension's options stops them at once and deletes anything not yet sent, and leaves club sync alone.

You can pause sync from the extension's toolbar button: while it is paused nothing is sent, anything not yet sent is discarded, and your consent stays on record, so resuming does not ask you again. Turning sync off in the extension's options stops it at once and discards anything not yet sent. You can unlink an EA account from your FutCheck profile under My Club, and ask us to delete the data synced from it by emailing support@futcheck.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the EEA/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA) have specific rights, including the right not to have personal information sold — which we do not do. We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, then delete or anonymise it. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

FutCheck is operated online and your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate we will provide additional notice.
